Description

This was taken using a tripod and a long exposure setting one night in Melbourne. I wasn't quite sure whether the effect was going to work. In the end I was relatively pleased with the shot, however, I do think that the composition could be better.

Your right about the composition. It something with the placement of the orange light sources (but I dont have any creative ideas

, sorry. I bet someone else have...)
Anyway, I think this is a great nightshot. The colors are awesome and very pleasant sharpness

Maybe slice the top piece of emptiness off? Not exactly a problem though.

I miss the reflections on the watered ground at the bottom of the pic, may be composition would have been more interesting if the empty space on top was used to show more of it or if the pic was focused on those reflections ( i love reflections

I agree that the top of this photo (the black sky) could be cropped, I think it would enhance this slightly. Otherwise, a fine photo indeed!

Don't crop all of the top, just about half of the blackness. Those nice orange paths need some breathing room.
