Description

I arrived on the scene about 5 minutes after I planned, just missing missing the "true" sunset before the sun dropped below the horizon. However, after setting up my shot I was still pleased with the evening sky that was gorgeously illuminated.

I've done a bit of editing in Photoshop (colour harmonizing and creating a soft glow). This is the first shot ive posted using a graduated Cokin filter. Thanks to Robert Mekis for highlighting the importance of this filter (used to unify exposure between a bright sky and the foreground) through his excellent landscape work. Respect.
